About the release

The first full-length Nirnaeth album in more than two decades, „Auta I Lome” also brings to a close the trilogy whose origins reach back to the late 1990s. Continuing the symphonic, neoclassical direction established on „Nirnaeth Arnoediad”, the album enriches its sound with vocals built around spoken-word declamation interwoven with ecstatically screamed passages, while marking the end of a distinct creative chapter. The Trilogy of Nirnaeth finds its conclusion in eight symphonic-electronic, neoclassical compositions that expand upon the musical language of the band's second album. The CD edition additionally includes instrumental versions of the remaining six tracks as bonus material. Where the first album drew entirely upon the poetry of Tadeusz Miciński and the second was built primarily around Piotr Wójcik's own verse, „Auta I Lome” also reaches for the poetry of Leopold Staff. Two purely instrumental compositions likewise appear on the album, hinting at one of the new artistic directions Nirnaeth may yet follow.

Artist: Nirnaeth

Nirnaeth was established in October 1994 under the name Araunthar. It was founded by Piotr Wójcik, also known as Smŕtan. In the same month the debut demo „Sorrow” tape Araunthar was recorded. The cassette contained about 30 minutes of pure piano music strongly inspired by classical music, but due to the recording quality was never published. At the beginning of 1995 the project changed its name to Nirnaeth and started working on new material, already using synthesizers and violin. The material entitled „Opus Nirnaeth” was recorded in June 1995 at the Fors studio in Český Těšín and contained 60 minutes of electronic music, inspired by classical music, enriched with solo violin parts and vocals vividly associated with Black Metal. The cassette „Opus Nirnaeth” was released in August 1995 by Dagdy Music, a label owned by Nirnaeth founder. The material was positively received by Polish and foreign underground, which resulted in a contract with Spanish Abstract Emotions. At the end of August, Nirnaeth recorded its debut CD „Haudh ' en ' Nirnaeth”. The CD included rearranged songs from „Opus…” and two new songs. In October and November 1999 Nirnaeth, with the extended line-up with musicians from Themgoroth and Vim Patior, records the second longplay entitled „Nirnaeth Arnoediad”. In July 2000 Nirnaeth took part in Castle Party festival in Bolków, where they met with a very good reception. In July 2001 the project performed for the second time in Bolków at the eighth edition of Castle Party and then stopped its activity. In autumn 2020 Nirnaeth reactivated as Piotr Wójcik's one-man project. In January 2021 Abstract Emotions finally released „Nirnaeth Arnoediad” in CD format. MC and LP format will be available in April. Nirnaeth is working on it's third CD entitled „Auta I Lome” for a near release and a Digital Single for 2021. Nirnaeth and Abstract Emotions are plannin bla bla bla
