Breaking conventions for collectors

Rariti.es is a sub-label of Dagdy Music, an independent record label established in 1995 and dedicated exclusively to creating timeless, handcrafted music releases for collectors. We believe that in an era of unlimited online access and streaming services, true collectors are no longer looking for mass-produced editions, but for carefully crafted, unique releases that offer something far beyond simply listening to music in any possible way. After years of releasing the founder's own musical projects and collaborating with numerous independent artists, Dagdy Music was first revived in 2019 as a label devoted exclusively to the works of Piotr Wójcik. In 2026 it gave birth to Rariti.es – a workshop created for those who expect something more from music than digital transmission or a standard release, increasingly reduced to an ecopack, slimbox or super jewel case.

Our mission

At Rariti.es, we have no intention of competing with streaming services. We do not offer instant access to millions of recordings in heavily compressed digital formats or endless playlists filled with randomly selected tracks. Instead, we offer something no digital collection can ever replace: limited editions of handcrafted CDs, distinguished by an uncompromising production process and durability that surpasses not only machine-burned CD-Rs, but even factory-pressed discs. Our collector-oriented B5 presentation format allows every edition to include a premium archival-grade CD protected by its own sleeve, accompanied by A5 booklets, lyrics, photographs, certificates and, whenever appropriate, other carefully selected extras. Every release is designed in close cooperation with the artist or band, with meticulous attention to every detail. Our ambition is to become a place where artists—especially independent ones—are eager to return with future releases and reissues.

How did Crafted CD™ come to life?

After more than 30 years of experience gathered through Dagdy Music, we came to the conclusion that the era of mass-produced CDs manufactured in thousands of copies is inevitably coming to an end. While even niche underground releases in the 1990s commonly had pressings of 3,000–4,000 copies, the age of streaming and the overwhelming number of artists has made distributing even a modest run of 500 CDs increasingly unrealistic—especially for independent musicians and niche genres. Our Crafted CD™ production process enables us to professionally create editions far smaller than the minimum quantities required by commercial pressing plants, while maintaining the highest possible quality. Our long-standing experience as collectors has also allowed us to develop our own vision of what a truly collectible music release should be. Years spent building our own collection have also taught us how important secure packaging and carefully selected payment and shipping methods are for fellow collectors.

Rariti.es is still driven by the same two people behind Dagdy Music

Marta

Marta

In 2001, she broke convention by appearing in a long white dress among the almost entirely black crowd of organisers, performers and visitors at the eighth edition of Castle Party. Never before—or since—had Nirnaeth been so instantly recognisable across the entire festival, especially from a distance. In 2026, she challenged convention once again by redefining the way CDs are created and released, introducing the Crafted CD™ concept and the Rariti.es sub-label of Dagdy Music. She is responsible for organisation, logistics and the day-to-day operation of Rariti.es. Thanks to her, every single edition reaches its collector carefully prepared and securely packed with exceptional attention to detail.
